Evgeniy Logvinenko was born on 17 January 1944 in Kazakhstan. In 1950 his family moved back to Dnepropetrovsk (Ukraine). In 1964 he graduated from Dnepropetrovsk Art School. In 1975 he graduated from Repin State Academic Institute of Painting Sculpture and Architecture in Saint Petersburg (Tutor of the studio – O.D. Zaitsev).
Since 1978 Evgeniy Logvinenko he was a Member of the Artists’ Union.
Evgeniy Logvinenko is an artist of wide creative interests, who worked in the field of thematic painting, including both historical and modern themes. He worked also in different genres, with a special inclination towards narrative painting. Themes and subjects of his works vary from real events of modern painting to mythological ones, from highly spiritual biblical compositions to creative works in “romantic grotesque” style. At the same time, we see he was free in the way he chose the dimensions of his compositions. He painted thematic painting as a monumental canvas and chose a manner of free and broad-brush strokes in accordance with its dimensions and artistic tasks. Among those, generally landscapes, the colouristic and compositional talent of the painter is revealed. In such works the Crimea takes an important place. In these miniatures the painter reached the effect of revelation and depth of the space, in which he usually populated the compositions with people that makes his works close to narrative paintings.

Evgeniy Logvinenko is printed in different publications in the Ukraine and Russia and was a participant of regional, republican, all-union and international exhibitions.
From 1990 paintings of the artist are exhibited in Austria, England, Hungary and Canada.

1999 – personal exhibition in the Embassy of Canada in Moscow
2000 – « Christian exhibition » in Kiev
2000 – personal exhibition, dedicated to 2000 years of Christianity
2001 – participation in the exhibition « Modern historical painting » in Kiev
2005 – 2015 – ongoing personal exhibitions in Moscow’s Museum of Art
2017 – awarding the title of Honoured Artist of Ukraine у
2017 – personal exhibition to the awarding of the title of Honoured Artist of Ukraine in the home city Dnipro
Paintings by Evgeniy Logvinenko have been purchased by Ministry of Culture of Ukraine (Russia), Dnepropetrovsk State Museum, Taiwan museum « The Dragon Museum of Art », art galleries and by private art collectors in Europe, Canada, Japan and Brazil.
