Carlos Becerra fled into the Belgium embassy when the Chilian government was overthrown by Augusto Pinochet. He is a master print maker, painter, sculptor, and poet. He taught at different fine art schools, including École de la Cambre and in 1978 received “la distinction au concours de la jeune peinture Belge” and in 1986 was chosen to represent young Belgian artists at “Congrès International de Critique d’Art”. We are delighted to share our discovery of his portraits until now unknown. They express his sentiments and thoughts during his life between 1973 et 2023 in Brussels.
